News Release - Jeff Heuple and Judy Lamphiear Join GWATA Board of Directors
WENATCHEE, WA - February 11, 2009
Wenatchee, WA- Greater Wenatchee Area Technology Alliance (GWATA; www.gwata.org), a non-profit organization that encourages the use and development of technology by connecting resources and people, announced that Jeff Heuple and Judy Lamphiear will join the Board of Directors.
Jeff Heuple, is the Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer of Express Locations, an Exclusive Premier Agent representing Alltel Wireless with 36 retail locations in the Southwestern United States. The company headquarters are located in Wenatchee, Wash.
Heuple has spent the last 16 years in the wireless industry. Prior to founding Express Locations 3 years ago, he worked for Western Wireless and McCaw Cellular Communications. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Western Washington University, master’s degree from University of Washington and a State of Washington CPA designation. He and his family have lived in Wenatchee for the past 2 years. In addition to the GWATA Board, he recently joined the Wenatchee Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.
“I believe GWATA is a key factor to strengthen the growing technology sector in the Valley,” states Heuple.
Judy Lamphiear, appointed secretary and director of GWATA, is a Training Consultant/Business Services Coordinator for SkillSource, a non-profit training organization. Lamphiear has 25 years experience in retail and 17 years in management. Currently, she is a member of Wenatchee Business and Professional Women and the chairperson for the Women of the Year Luncheon and the vice-president of the board for the YWCA. In addition to her volunteer work, she will co-chair the NCW Career and Job Fair 2009.
“GWATA is important to me because helping businesses and individual access technical resources is essential to the success of our valley and very similar to what I do every day,” adds Lamphiear.
Both Heuple and Lamphiear add a vast degree of support services to move GWATA forward in 2009 and beyond. The GWATA Board of Directors also includes: President Jenny Rickel, co-founder and former Chief Operating Officer of Zayo Bandwidth, formerly NTI; Treasurer Lance Hansen, Banner Bank; Past President Martin Straub, Cordell Neher & Company, and board advisor Laura Jaecks, Confluence Technology Center. JB Marketing has been hired to assist with marketing and event needs for 2009.
