Outstanding Nominees for 2011 GWATA Awards

2011_GWATA_InnovAward_logoAs GWATA, the NCW Technology Alliance prepares to host the 11th Annual Innovator Awards presented by LocalTel Communications on Tuesday, March 29th, we have also been busy behind the scenes accepting nominations for Tech Savvy Business of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year and Future Technology Leaders. I'm thrilled to report that we got a record number of nominations this year, and that those nominations were all very high quality! 

Top Nominees for Tech Savvy Business of the Year:

Dr. Cara's Children's Dentistry
Howell at the Moon Productions
Lake Chelan Community Hospital

Top Nominees for Entrepreneur of the Year:

Melissa Wisen, Borsa Bella Design Co.
Roger Harnack, Omak-Okanogan County Chronicle
Steve Klock, Sudden Values

The Future Technology Leaders award(s) are for student led projects in technology, science, engineering or math fields. Bradley Shipley and the RAMbots 4-H Club will be recognized as the 2011 Future Technology Leaders during the awards luncheon.

Bradley Shipley, a seventh grader at Orchard Middle School, produced and edited a LazyBoyBike commercial which exceeded class expectations. The RAMbots 4-H Club will be recognized for building their first robot. RAMbots 4-H Club is comprised of student's ages 12-18 years old whose mission of the club is to inspire youth to explore science and technology in mentor-based program through the use of robots.

All nominees in each category will be recognized at the Innovator Awards Luncheon.
