As the new Program Coordinator for GWATA I feel as though I’ve just dipped my toes in the water of possibilities for this growing organization. The word that keeps circling my mind these days is ‘relevant’. How can I play a role in making GWATA more relevant for our stakeholders? How are up-and-coming technologies relevant to organizations in North Central Washington?

I believe that GWATA is currently headed in the right direction to make the organization relevant. Events such as our recent Tech Stomp at White Heron Cellars are connecting people and organizations in North Central Washington. These types of events are vitally important to the future of business in our area. “No man is an island…” and our area businesses shouldn’t be islands either. You never know where that key connection to push you to the next level will be made, and events like ours are a step in the right direction.

Our quarterly roundtables are aimed at connecting you with specific resources that are current and pertinent. Judging from the RSVPs that we’ve already received for the September 9 Roundtable, I think the choice of Social Media as a topic was certainly a relevant choice!

GWATA will continue its mission of Connecting People and Resources in the coming months, so keep an eye open for more of our upcoming events like the NCW Innovation Showcase at the Confluence Technology Center on October 6.
